A Short History of Coder's Video Cards:

When I started gaming back in 1989 my first "3D" gaming card was a Video Blaster 3D from Creative Labs. I had a 16mhz 286 machine and life was good. As the games got more impressive and the gaming world looked to 3DFX to make everything "more realistic" I bought a 3DFX VooDoo3 2000.

The first really "uber-card" I aquired was a Radeon 9700pro. This card was hands-down the most impressive upgrade I have ever purchased. Matched with an AMD 2500+ Barton core CPU and 1gig of PC3200 DDR1 RAM I was playing everything and it all looked fantastic!

After the 9700pro I stepped up to a 9800pro All-in-Wonder. It was when I got the 9800pro that I started performing benchmarks.

Here are the benchmarks - current card in red. (I am not normally a fan of synthetic benchies but they can be useful in keeping a record of your graphics processing power.)
